Details on two promising 3DS eShop games are posted below. Read on for the latest information on Fluidity: Spin Cycle and Crashmo. Both games are due out later this year.

Crashmo

– Mallo and Papa Blox are back
– Poppy, Papa’s grand-niece, is in the game as well
– Mallo introduces himself to her with a characteristic sumo shiko stomp, startling the birds who had carried Poppy in on a hot air balloon-like basket and causing them to seek refuge on the top of Crashmo structures
– Need to collect the birds so Poppy can go home
– Game is structured like Pushmo
– There are levels comprised of big, colorful blocks
– Can push and pull blocks
– Mallo needs to just to the top of each level to collect the bird
– Blocks are no longer expanded from or tied to a support structure
– Blocks that don’t have anything under them will fall
– Blocks can’t tilt
– A single cubic support piece is enough to keep them suspended
– New to Crashmo: Mallo can grab and move blocks forward and backward as well as side to side
– He can also pull out blocks onto the surface he’s standing on
– Additionally, Mallo can balance the Tetris-esque blocks on his head
– Movement is limited in these instances
– Without a solid support wall, players must find ways of keeping blocks suspended by moving other blocks into place
– Can view puzzles from multiple angles
– Level editor included
– Can use QR codes to share levels
– Later levels will feature doors and other mechanics

Fluidity: Spin Cycle

– Action takes place within the wizard’s magical storybook
– One chapter features a prehistoric landscape willed with dinosaurs
– Dinosaurs move in response to the tilting of the 3DS
– Water usually doesn’t fall to the top if you turn the 3DS upside-down
– Your rank is determined based on how much water you retain and how long it takes you to complete a stage
– Drops in the game are alive
– When you reach the rainbow drop, your puddle transforms into a smiling anthropomorphic water drop who dances with the rescued rainbow drop
– Collect puzzle pieces to unlock mini-games
– One mini-game for each chapter
– Mini-games: Gather Control, Ice Climb, Cloud Run, and Ice Cannon
