Disney Speedstorm reveals free Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade

Disney Speedstorm is receiving a free update on Nintendo Switch 2, Gameloft has announced.

The team is promising “a much smoother, sharper racing experience thanks to performance enhancements exclusive to the new hardware”. On Nintendo Switch 2, Disney Speedstorm will run at a full 60 frames per second, compared to the previous 30 FPS limit.

For resolution, Disney Speedstorm will run at a native 1080p in handheld mode and up to 1440p when docked. This should allow for “a crisper, more detailed look.”

There’s more beyond that as well. Gameloft is also planning various visual improvements including better shadows, anti-aliasing, and shader quality “to bring even more visual polish to every track.”

The Disney Speedstorm Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade will be available as part of the upcoming season this week. Again, it will be free.
