EA Play Live cancelled for 2022

In a statement shared with IGN, EA has confirmed that its annual event EA Play Live has been cancelled for 2022.

The event has been held alongside E3 since 2016, featuring game announcements, trailers, and demos for their latest titles. For the last two years the event had been digital-only in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The publisher stated that it will reveal information about its newest titles “when the time is right for each of them” rather than all at once, although it is unknown at this time if this will be the norm moving forward or if EA Play Live will make a return in future years.

EA Play Live has had some significant Switch-related news in the past, with last year’s event featuring Lost in Random and Apex Legends revealed for the platform.

We’ll let you know any significant Switch-related news from EA as it is announced.
