Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash 2.2.0 April update to add new netcode on Switch
Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash will soon be getting a 2.2.0 update on Switch with “the next generation of netcode”, Arika president Akira Nishitani announced during the Fighting Game Roundtable 3 earlier today. The patch is planned for an April 1, 2022 release. Despite going out on that day, Nishitani confirmed that it’s not an April Fools’ Joke.
Earlier this month, Akira released a video demonstrating the use of the new netcode system and how it will improve the experience. Check out the full comparison video below.
Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash was announced for Switch last February, and then started to roll out about a month or so later. Right now anyone can give it a try as it’s free to play. However, Akira is also offering the “Full Package” DLC – which sets players back $25 – containing Training Mode, Rank Match (Online VS), and Casual Match (Online VS) as well as access to all characters and their alternate colors. The Spectator Mode (Online VS) was added as part of an update last June.
Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash is out now on the Switch eShop and the new netcode update will follow on April 1, 2022.
