Fighting game Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age announced for Switch
Modus Games today unveiled its new fighting game Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age. A Switch version is planned and will launch in the future.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age features 2v2 matches within an innovative 3-lane system and a hand-drawn Dieselpunk backdrop. More information can be found in the following overview:
The bustling metropolis of New Libertis, known by residents as The Iron City, is a dieselpunk-inspired technological marvel. This is all thanks to FALCORP Industries, a corporation seeking to usher humanity into a higher state of existence. Of course, this ascension doesn’t include the city’s working class. Left to fend for themselves in the streets of The Iron City, a battle for the fate of tomorrow emerges.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age flips the traditional fighting genre formula by placing 2v2 local and online co-op matches front and center in the arena. The game features 10 playable characters at launch (four of which are available to play now in the open beta), offering distinctly devastating attacks and meaningful shifts to team dynamics and matchups.
With combat playing out across three lanes, strategy is a key element of any Diesel Legacy clash. Will you swap to another lane and surprise attack your enemy from behind, or will you instead retreat to regain your bearings while your partner takes the heat? If your partner does, in fact, take too much heat, they’re not out of the fight completely. Upon defeat, knocked-out fighters can assist from beyond the grave to parry attacks for their teammate, channeling energy to help their ally out of sticky situations.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age makes use of Modus Studios’ brand-new proprietary RealMatch™ rollback netcode, ensuring you don’t miss a single punch in any online match. Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age also features comprehensive training and story modes and allows players to go against AI opponents to hone their skills.
Whether you’re looking to simply grasp the basics or analyze hitboxes and the frame data of Diesel Legacy’s crisp, hand-drawn 60fps animations, you’ve got all the tools you need to enter the arena at any skill level. Make a mistake once you enter the arena? Diesel Legacy’s advanced replay system allows you to rewatch a match and jump in whenever you’d like to make sure you don’t make the same mistake again.
