Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth receives Nintendo Switch 2 release date, first look

The next part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake saga is on the way to Nintendo Switch 2 with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth getting a spotlight during the latest Nintendo Direct. Square Enix showed off the port for the first time today. It’s dropping on June 3, 2026.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second part part of the Remake trilogy. Square Enix is cooking up the final game which has not been officially revealed as of yet.

The fate of the planet is in players hands in the second entry in the Final Fantasy 7 remake series – Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Cloud Strife and his comrades escape the city of Midgar into the wide world beyond to hunt down Sephiroth, a haunting figure from Cloud’s past bent on ruling the planet. Ride Chocobos, sprint across sweeping plains, and explore a vast, expansive world with new features and encounters to be had as the story unfolds. Join Cloud Strife and his crew.
