Fire Emblem: Awakening details

Posted on April 3, 2012 by (@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News

Another batch of Fire Emblem: Awakening details have been translated from the latest Iwata Asks. You can read about the team’s approach to downloadable content and more.

The new information is as follows:

– Downloadable content topic arose at the end of development
– Scheduling was a bit tight
– The producer said something along the lines of “So, should we add download content?” rather than “Let’s add download content”
– Request arrived extremely late, so they couldn’t do things like remove passages from the main game or make adjustments to passages in the game
– Might not have been a problem
– Iwata said one concern with games and DLC is making sure you have enough built into the main game so that you absolutely will not hear criticism that the game is too lacking in content for those who don’t buy the DLC
– The team is currently making the DLC
– Plans to continue making more DLC from here on out
– SpotPass Team will be sent out to players on a daily basis
– This team will include characters made in the image of past Fire Emblem characters
– Fight the team, make them into allies, etc.
– Roughly 120 teams will be sent out
– Optional first-person mode included in the game
– Added because the staff believed it would work well with 3D
