Google adds Easter eggs to celebrate live-action Zelda movie
Last week, the names Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason went from being relatively unknown to instantly recognized by fans as the actors set to portray Link and Princess Zelda in the upcoming live-action The Legend of Zelda movie, scheduled to premiere on May 7, 2027. Chances are, many people weren’t familiar with their previous work and quickly turned to Google to learn more about their careers. In response, the search engine decided to join in on the fun by adding some clever Easter eggs.
When searching for Bo Bragason, a small note now appears at the top of the results reading: “Well excuse me, Princess”, a reference to the iconic (and meme-worthy) line from the classic Legend of Zelda animated series. A small female elf emoji also appears alongside the message.
Meanwhile, searching for Benjamin Evan Ainsworth displays the message “KYAAAA! HYAAAAA!” next to a male elf emoji. The note is a playful nod to the familiar sounds Link makes throughout his many adventures in Hyrule, such as when he’s battling enemies.
