Today, Success Corporation announced that it’s developing Hakoniwa Bokujou Hitsuji Mura for Switch. A release is planned for November 10, 2022 in Japan.

Although it’s not a big name in the west, the Hitsuji Mura series has been around since 2003. There was only one entry on a Nintendo platform previously – specifically Hakoniwa Seikatsu Hitsuji Mura DS (for DS) in 2008.

Hakoniwa Bokujou Hitsuji Mura is a high-definition remaster of Youkoso Hitsuji Mura Portable – a 2009 farm life sim PSP title – with new elements. These include:

– Farm Zoom-Out Display Mode which displays the farm in its original pixel size; traditional magnified display is also supported; can switch between displays using the R stick
– The user interface, event scenes, and pixel art graphics have all been upgraded to high-resolution; original was 480×272, but the new version is 1280×720
– Youkoso Hitsuji Mura Portable only allowed you to hold three items at once, but Hakoniwa Bokujou Hitsuji Mura allows you to hold seven; a selection cursor has also been added
– The support feature “Target Marker” has been added which lets the player check where an item will be placed before it is set; can be turned ON or OFF in the settings

Here’s a teaser trailer for the game:

Note that while Hakoniwa Bokujou Hitsuji Mura has not yet been announced for the west, English support will be added in a post-launch update.
