How to evolve Finizen in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have finally been released on Switch, and some fans may be curious about how to evolve Finizen into Palafin. While not an overly tricky process, it looks like you’ll have to get another person involved.
Finizen is a Dolphin Pokemon with Water Type. According to the official Pokedex entry, it enjoys playing with others of its kind using the water ring on its tail. Something else that’s noteworthy is how with its ultrasonic waves, it can sense the emotions of other living creatures.
How to evolve Finizen in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet
First, be sure that Finizen is actually in your party. There was initially some uncertainty with many fans researching the situation, but early reports for the games indicate that the creature needs to reach level 38 or above. Once you’ve met that requirement, enter a battle and win with another player watching nearby. Another method is to use Rare Candy. The evolution process should work with either local play or online, and you should see it starting immediately. You’ll then have Palafin in your party.

Differences between Finizen and Palafin
Upon first glance, Finizen and Palafin may seen identical. However, Palafin has a heart-shaped symbol around its stomach / chest.
With Palafin, the Pokemon is said to change its appearance if it hears its allies calling for help, but it never shows anybody its moment of transformation.
The creature really distinguishes itself through its Zero to Hero ability, which causes a transformation. This can be seen in the screenshot below (on the left).
