Hulu app being discontinued on Nintendo Switch
The Hulu app is coming to an end on Switch, according to Nintendo.
Those looking for the app will no longer find it anywhere on the store. Additionally, Nintendo says that support will end on February 5, 2026. If you downloaded the app previously, it will no longer function after that date.
The move here pans down to Disney’s overall plans for Hulu. Standalone apps everywhere are being discontinued – not just on Nintendo Switch. Disney+ and Hulu have now been combined under one banner.
Twitch is another app that ended support on Nintendo Switch. It came to the console in 2021, but was discontinued just a couple of years later.
Right now the main media apps on Nintendo Switch are YouTube and Crunchyroll. Netflix never made it to the console, nor did other ones like Disney+.
As of now, no media apps have been made available on Nintendo Switch 2. It’s unclear if that will be changing in the future.
