Twitch app to be removed on Switch

In just a few months, the Twitch app will be removed on Switch. The news was announced in an email sent out to users today.
The app is set to be removed on January 31, 2024. Twitch did not provide a reason for the discontinuation.
For those looking to experience Twitch content, users are advised to visit the website on their browser or other devices.
The Twitch app first released on Switch in November 2021. Aside from live stream gaming content, viewers could also watch IRL broadcasts and even sports – basketball, baseball, soccer, football, swimming, wrestling, hockey, pool, and much more through talk shows, league channels, Fantasy, and Esports.
YouTube, Hulu, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Pokemon TV apps remain available on Switch and can be downloaded from the eShop.
