Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact delayed to 2025
September 30: Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact is the latest game to have been hit by a delay. The title is now planned to launch in early 2025, according to a statement sent out on social media.
Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact was previously on track to arrive on Switch and other platforms by the end of the year. However, the team now intends to use extra development time to implement rollback netcode. It’s unclear if the Switch version will support that functionality, but regardless, the fighter is now launching on all platforms in 2025.
The full statement regarding the delay for Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact reads:
The release timing for Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact will be changed from the previously announced 2024 timing to now release within 2025.
We sincerely apologize for the trouble caused by this delay to the players who are looking forward to the game’s release. This delay is so that we will be able to implement rollback netcode for release.
*Rollback netcode is a system that reduces the feeling of connection delay when playing online matches.
We made this decision out of concern that players would not be able to fully enjoy the game in a state where some players would encounter issues with online play, given the nature of fighting games. The release date will be announced at a later time. We appreciate your understanding, as we continue to work to provide the best game possible.

December 19: We now have a slightly more specific release window. The game is confirmed for a Summer 2025 launch, according to Eighting.
