Ignition Entertainment Racks up Nine ‘Best of E3’ Awards; Muramasa: The Demon Blade and The King of Fighters XII Defeat Perennial Favorites

Ignition Entertainment, a relative newcomer to the bustling videogame industry, is now among the most honored game companies of the year. Ignition’s lineup of breakthrough games including, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, The King of Fighters XII and Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny stood out among hundreds of highly-anticipated video game titles and swept up nine ‘Best of’ awards at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2009.

Muramsa: The Demon Blade took the Wii and action game categories by storm with its revolutionary take on the classic 2D side scroller and artistically rendered characters, enemies, fight sequences and deep and extraordinarily detailed environments. Muramsa: The Demon Blade blew away stiff competition, including perpetual powerhouse Nintendo, and won:

· Three Best Wii Game of E3 2009 awards from G4 TV, GameSpy and GameFocus.ca
· Three Best Wii Game of E3 2009 runner-up awards from IGN, GameSpot and 1UP
· Two Best Artistic Design of E3 2009 awards from IGN and GameSpy
· Best Action Game of E3 2009 from IGN
· Best Platformer of E3 award from GameSpy

The King of Fighters XII, the latest installment in the storied The King of Fighters series, continues the epic martial arts showdown and reemerges with a complete graphical overhaul with 22 gorgeous hand-drawn 2D characters. The King of Fighters XII won:

· Three Best Fighting Game of E3 2009 awards from IGN, GameTrailers.com and GameFocus.ca
· Finalist in the Best Fighting Game of E3 2009 category from GameSpot, 1UP and GameSpy

The North American debut of the revered weapons-based game Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny didn’t go unnoticed, notching up nominations for Best Fighting Game of E3 2009 from GameTrailers.com and GameFocus.ca.
