Intel hoping Nintendo will include Larrabee processor in next console

Writer Hiroshige Goto has contributed numerous articles to Japanese website Impress Watch. But most recently, he discussed the situation with Nintendo. Goto noted in his newest piece that Intel has been trying to persuade Nintendo to make use of the company’s Larrabee processor. The processor was originally going to launch next year, but suffered through a delay earlier this month and currently does not have a release date.

Intel hopes that the technology will be included in Nintendo’s next console rather than a system like Wii HD. It’s unknown just how far any negotiations between Nintendo and Intel have gone. We’ll have to wait and see how things progress over the next few months.
