The fact that the 3DS will cost 25,000 yen in Japan hasn’t exactly garnered the best reaction. A number of folks believe this means that the handheld will be $250 in the U.S., or maybe even $300. During an analysts meeting, Satoru Iwata commented on the 3DS’ price. When a person suggested that 25,000 yen might be a bit too much, Iwata said that Nintendo considered a number of factors when determining how much it would cost, including the company taking into account the reception of the portable at E3. I guess that means Nintendo saw a very strong interest in the system, therefore fans wouldn’t mind paying a high price for it!
