Iwata: New handheld system created sometime in the past three years

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has told CNBC that the company had developed a new handheld system in the past three years. In the end, however, Nintendo made a decision not to release it.

“In the history of Nintendo, there are several such examples [of canceled hardware]. But when we are launching new hardware, the most important is thing is to sustain the momentum. If introducing new hardware won’t do anything to do that, well…”
