Japan’s best-selling games of November 2025 – Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake, Kirby Air Riders have big debuts
New data provided by Famitsu gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of November 2025.
The month had some big releases, including Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake and Kirby Air Riders. The former sold nearly 300,000 copies while the latter debuted at close to 250,000 units sold at retail.
Below is the full list of Japan’s best-selling games of November 2025:
1. [NSW] Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake – 293,851 / NEW
2. [NS2] Mario Kart World – 285,142 / 2,251,711
3. [NS2] Kirby Air Riders – 241,881 / NEW
4. [NSW] Pokemon Legends: Z-A – 238,400 / 1,306,801
5. [NSW] Momotaro Dentetsu 2 – 141,141 / NEW
Keeping in line with what we typically see, November was the top publisher in Japan last month with 764,000 games sold at retail. One reason for this was Kirby Air Riders, and Mario Kart World continues to sell. Note that Pokemon Legends: Z-A doesn’t count towards Nintendo’s total as that’s for The Pokemon Company.
Finally, regarding hardware, Nintendo Switch 2 took the crown with 500,414 units sold in November. This was the system’s best month since launch in June (1,188,000 units were sold that month).
