Japan’s best-selling games of October 2024
New data provided by Famitsu gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of October 2024.
Mario Party has always been a big seller for Nintendo, so it comes as no surprise that the game has done incredibly well. It was the best-seller in Japan last month with over 300,000 copies sold – and that’s only based on physical data.
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom was the best-selling game of September. It has slipped to third, but still managed to sell close to 90,000 copies at retail.
Here’s the full list of Japan’s best-selling games of October 2024:

Just as we typically see, Nintendo was the top publisher in Japan last month with 599,000 pieces of software sold. Super Mario Party Jamboree made the biggest impact. However, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and other previously-released games contributed as well.
In terms of hardware, Nintendo Switch was the best-selling platform at 245,466 units sold. While that’s a drop month-over-month, that’s only because of the tracking period (four weeks instead of five for September).
