Kemco bringing Senri no Kifu: Gendai Shougi Mystery to Switch

Kemco today announced Senri no Kifu: Gendai Shougi Mystery, a new mystery adventure game for Switch. A release is planned for early 2020 in Japan.

Here’s what we know thus far:

– Switch version will only be available digitally
– Based around numerous incidents concerning computer-versus-human shogi games
– Has a shogi classroom corner where yo ucan easily learn how to play shogi through the game
– Professional shogi player Manao Kagawa also appears in the game
– Scenario: Hidehisa Miyashita
– Music: Noriyuki Iwadare
– Supervision and In-Game Appearance: Michio Takahashi (professional shogi player)
– Playable at TGS 2019 this week
