Kirby Air Riders team is disbanding soon, but game could get another balance patch
According to director Masahiro Sakurai, the team behind Kirby Air Riders will be disbanding soon.
At this point there largely isn’t a reason to keep everyone together. Development is finished, and as previously announced, the game isn’t getting DLC. However, we’re likely to get one more balance patch.
Sakurai shared the following on social media:
“As discussed in Air Riders Direct 2, Kirby’s Air Riders does not have a production setup for DLC or anything like that. The team will be disbanding in the near future as well.
Therefore, while we still have a short period of time to make adjustments, we’re aiming for a balance that can be enjoyed without issues even years from now. We might be able to tweak it one more time or so, but after that, please enjoy it as the completed balance!”
Kirby Air Riders actually just received a significant update last night, which included a bunch of balance adjustments. You can find the patch notes here.
Kirby Air Riders is now available on Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide.
