Nintendo 3DS Louvre

Nintendo 3DS audio guides at the Louvre museum, which have been a staple for over a decade, will soon be going out of operation. A notice on the official website states that this is going into effect in September 2025.

According to the site, “a new system” will be taking its place. While it’s technically possible that Louvre could work with Nintendo again, we wouldn’t necessarily ben on it.

Nintendo made a big deal of its collaboration with Louvre back in the day. In fact, a special Nintendo Direct was even made for the partnership. Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre would also be released as a standalone piece of software as well.

With the guide, fans have been able to take advantage of the Louvre museum in different ways. The software lets users simulate a route around the museum, view 3D models and high-resolution images of certain art, listen to 30+ hours of audio commentary, and more.
