The Seattle Mariners and Nintendo are saluting fans on Saturday, September 27, at the second annual Nintendo Fan Network Day at Safeco Field.

Fans using Nintendo® Fan Network (NFN) will have the opportunity to win prizes such as signed, limited-edition Nintendo DS Units by competing with other NFN users in real-time trivia challenge.

Access to NFN is free to all users, and on Nintendo Fan Network Day, those who have not yet had the opportunity to try it, can check out Nintendo DS units free of charge to use during the game.

Nintendo® Fan Network has been available exclusively at Safeco Field since the 2007 season. Using an exclusive Wi-Fi network, NFN delivers a menu of interactive baseball-related content to Nintendo DS™ or DS Lite portable game users during games at Safeco Field. Features include:

* Live video stream and replays
* Trivia and games
* MLB stats for all teams and players
* Real-time scores of games in progress
* Play-by-play audio of Mariners radio broadcasts
* PITCH/fx viewer to track pitch location
* In-seat food and beverage orders
* Chat with other DS users

For those who want to purchase a DS unit at Safeco Field, they are available for $129.99 for the standard Nintendo DS Lite and $139.99 for the Mariners limited-edition version, available exclusively at Safeco Field.

Nintendo DS was introduced in 2004 and has revolutionized handheld game systems. As the world’s fastest-selling portable game device, it provides users with a unique game-play experience using features never before offered by any other home console or hand-held game system, including dual screens, controls that utilize both touch and voice, and wireless game play.
