Mario Party Superstars makes Mushroom Mix-Up from N64 original easier to play for colorblind players

Mario Party Superstars is Nintendo’s chance to bring back a whole bunch of content from the series’ earlier days. Aside from featuring a few boards from the N64 era, we’re also getting returning mini-games up through the GameCube titles.

We’ve already seen how much Mario Party Superstars is providing a boost in visuals. Other than that though, it looks like the team is considering some important details.

The screenshot above is taken from one of Mario Party Superstars’ mini-games, Mushroom Mix-Up. This was included in the franchise’s very first title on the N64.

Now here’s a look at how Mushroom Mix-Up looks in the original:

Thankfully, Nintendo is making Mushroom Mix-Up easier to play for colorblind players. As pointed out by Twitter user boukendreamer, the platforms are now distinguishable using both color and pattern.

Mario Party Superstars will be available for Switch on October 29.
