Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! European release date
Strategy and skill is the key to success in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!
25th November 2010 – Put your strategy skills to the test and help Mario (and his Mini Marios) rescue Pauline from the notorious Donkey Kong when Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!, a puzzle-based adventure for Nintendo DS, launches across Europe on 4th February 2011.
The newest instalment in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series sees Mario opening a shiny new theme park and inviting his friend Pauline as a special guest for the event. But the peace and fun is soon interrupted when the unhappy Donkey Kong decides to kidnap Pauline right under Mario’s nose!
In order to free Pauline from Donkey Kong’s clutches, your rescue strategy will require you to steer a group of miniature Mario toys through challenging puzzle-based levels, each with an exit door. You’ll need to use all the tricks of your trade to cleverly alter the path the Mini Marios take – by drawing bridges, creating ladders and moving springs and blocks – to ensure they avoid traps and enemies in their path!
Before activating your Mini Marios, you’ll need to analyse each level and plan your exit strategy carefully. Once on the move, Mini Marios cannot be stopped, so make sure no one is left behind. All the Mini Marios must reach the exit door within the given time frame or you will fail the task!
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! includes exciting new gameplay mechanics including eight attractions based around different themes and packed with adventure. From Teatime Trail, based on a Teacups ride, to Cannon Cove, an area which uses cannons as a mode of transport, there’s hours of entertainment to be had. There are also loads of fun new materials to build with, including moving cannons, purple conveyor belts, movable pipes and ladders.
If you get a little lost and need some direction around the park, levels now include a map on the top screen that shows the positions of Minis, enemies and obstacles. There is also a Help Mode to offer assistance and a Mini Guide which demonstrates how to complete the level if you get stuck.
Also new to Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! is a Challenge Mode, allowing players to create their own original levels based on a template provided by Nintendo and enter them in official online competitions. The winners are voted for online by other Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! players, so download and play as many levels as you like via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, then vote for the best.
