Marvel Land is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Switch
Hamster has announced that the next game coming to Switch under the Arcade Archives label will be Namco’s theme park-based platformer Marvel land. Here is some more information on the title.
Marvel Land was originally by Namco in 1989. The game is set entirely within a theme park, the eponymous Marvel Land, with the player taking control of a prince who must rescue various fairies and a princess from an evil mole king. Given the game’s settings, all of its platforming stages are based around attractions, such as rollercoasters and funhouses. Gameplay-wise the title is a fairly standard platformer which also includes Mario-like power ups, with the exception being each of the game’s four bosses, which are fought in minigame sequences instead.
Arcade Archives Marvel Land will release digitally on Switch tomorrow, December 15. It will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.
