Metroid Prime Trilogy launching in Europe September 4
Experience Samus’ story like never before as Metroid Prime Trilogy comes to Wii
9 July 2009 – Bounty-hunting just got a whole lot more intuitive, as the entire Metroid Prime story now utilises the Wii Remote’s pointing system to let you experience first-person action like never before in Metroid Prime Trilogy – which launches across Europe exclusively for Wii on 4 September 2009.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption boasted a breakthrough control scheme when it arrived on Wii in 2007; utilising the Wii Remote’s unique capabilities to set a new standard for precision in first-person action games. That system has now been implemented across the rest of the legendary series, allowing you to experience the entire Metroid Prime story with the peerless precision of the Wii Remote.
All three landmark Metroid Prime games will be accessible from one Game Disc; the ultimate collectable item for Metroid fans. As well as the addition of Wii-specific controls in bestselling Nintendo GameCube titles Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, the first two games in the Prime series have also been updated with widescreen presentation and new in-game rewards. Through the unlockables system, players can gain access to music, artwork and additional features by accomplishing objectives across all three games.
Each game maintains its original storyline and settings, but playing Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is now a far more intuitive experience, with the Wii Remote bringing more comfortable aiming functionality to the action. You’ll truly feel like you’ve stepped into Samus’s world as you use the Wii Remote to target, aim and fire her arm cannon with matchless precision.
Fans of the series will be pleased to see the multiplayer modes from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes recreated, again making full use of the Wii-specific control scheme to add unprecedented precision whether you are after frantic Deathmatch shooting action or tactical Bounty-hunting play.
Get ready to do battle with Space Pirates – and Metroids – galore, when Metroid Prime Trilogy launches across Europe for Wii on 4 September 2009. As an extra special treat for Metroid fans, the game will come with an exclusive art book summarising the history of the trilogy and adding to the collectable appeal of the three Metroid Prime games all packed onto a single Game Disc.
