Mirai Ninja is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Switch
For nearly every week for the last several years, publisher Hamster has been bringing retro arcade games to the Switch eShop through its Arcade Archive label. This week, they continue to expand the collection with Arcade Archives Mirai Ninja. Here are some details, courtesy of the International Arcade Museum:
Mirai Ninja is a side scrolling beat-’em-up initially made by Namco for arcades in 1988. It is primarily a single-player game with an alternating multiplayer mode in which players control a ninja to fight various enemies and bosses.
The story involves a ninja’s body and soul being stolen for use inside a demon’s castle, and then the robotic “future ninja” has to go into the castle and defeat all the enemies.
The arcade game was previously exclusive to Japan.
Arcade Archives Mirai Ninja is scheduled to launch digitally tomorrow on December 16, and will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.
