More details on Capcom’s Nazo Waku Yakata

– Explore the Nazo Waku Yakata mansion
– Many rooms and strange residents in the mansion
– Action on the 3D screen
– Touch icons on the bottom screen to investigate rooms
– Look at the rooms with the gyro controls
– Speak into the system’s microphone
– Mansion residents will react to your comments
– Types of rooms:
Massage Room: where you touch a girl who’s wearing a bathing suit.
Fire Place Room: where you light a fireplace.
Insect Room: a hornet (or possibly the sound from a hornet) will suddenly enter your ear.
Fireworks Room: where you attempt to hold the system as steady as possible to keep the fireworks from lighting up.
Nazo Waku Yakata is being directed by Minoru Nakai and has character designs from Tadahiro Uesugi and a scenario from Yukinori Kitajima.
– Optophonics for 3D audio
– 360 degree sound possible thanks to Optophonics
– Hear 3D effect through headphones
– Many secrets behind the Optophonics technology
– Staff was not fully detailed on Optophonics, so they had a special Optophonics technician assist with the recording process
– 3D souse use example: sound of the insect in the insect room coming into your year, the sound of a maid blowing on your year, and the sound of tape being wrapped around you
– Capcom hopes players use headphones and play in a quiet room.
– Experience horror, suspense and comedy
– The residents aren’t bad
– The mansion is the kind of place that you’ll want to visit again because you enjoyed yourself
– Game focuses on short experiences in the rooms
– 3-5 minutes for each room
– 7-8 minutes for longer rooms
– Move on to the next room after finishing one room

– Releasing in Japan this summer
