NASCAR Heat, NASCAR Rivals to be delisted on Nintendo Switch
Motorsport Games has announced on social media that its delisting various NASCAR games on digital storefronts, which will affect Nintendo Switch. NASCAR Heat and NASCAR Rivals will both be pulled from the eShop. This will be going into effect on December 31, 2024.
Motorsport Games shared the news on social media. While not mentioned, the move is being made due to the NASCAR license changing hands.
Note that if you’ve purchased NASCAR Heat or NASCAR Rivals previously on Nintendo Switch, you’ll still be able to access and redownload the games in the future despite the delisting. Physical copies are also unaffected. Those looking to pick up the titles digitally will be able to take advantage of an upcoming discount.
The full statement reads:
“To the NASCAR game community, from December 31, 2024, all NASCAR game titles and their DLC content will no longer be available for purchase on all digital storefronts but will remain available to play after this time. This includes the @NASCARHeat, @NASCARRivals and @NASCARignition franchises. Please look out for various platform promotions this December to complete your NASCAR console game collection while you can! We sincerely thank our community for the enthusiasm and support you’ve shown for these games over the years and hope you have enjoyed racing with us.”
