New Zelda: Skyward Sword details

A new batch of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword details are now available. The information, found in the latest Nintendo Power, details elements from the Skyloft introduction all the way up to the Earth Temple.

There’s some juicy points that at least some of you may want to avoid, so I’ll be posting the content after the break once again.

– Skyloft has a bathhouse and a toilet
– A lot of interactivity with objects
– Knock down a bunch of stuff
– Knock over glasses, plates, vases, flowerpots, and more
– Roll by shaking the nunchuck while dashing
– When you knock into a piece of furniture while rolling, anything on top will fall over
– Fight off bats and slime in the night, along with the cats mentioned previously
– Bazaar contains the item shop, potion shop, fortune teller, storage facility, and Scrap Shop
– Scrap Shop is sort of like a blacksmith’s (upgrade items)
– Rare ingredients include the hornet larvae, ornamental skulls, and lizard tails
– Use two amber relics, one monster claw, an one jelly blob to enhance your wooden shield
– Your wooden shield will become the Banded Shield
– Eldin Province (from Twilight Princess) is now ardous and hot
– It’s full of lethal lava streams and rocky terrain
– Any plant life in this area is withered and brown
– You’ll find Pyrups in Eldin
– Pyrups hide in small caves or within skeletal remains of other beasts, then breathe fire at anybody that comes by
– The Mogma are cowardly
– Bokooblins are trying to take over Eldin Province
– They set up a makeshift village halfway up a volcano consisting of mainly lumber and tattered cloth
– Link raids the village, defeats the enemies, and blows their watchtowers to the ground
– All we know about the mystery woman in black is that she wears the mark of the Sheikah on her clothes and her forehead
– Earth Temple has a Chinese dragon theme
– Spend a lot of time in the dungeon atop a stone sphere to navigate past the lava
– The sphere was originally the eyeball of a massive statue
– Have to use bombs often to create new paths as you guide the sphere
– The boss, Pyroclastic Fiend Spaldera, can burst into flames whenever it wants
– Knock Spaldera back with bombs as it approaches
– It retaliates by shooting large bursts of fire
– Spaldera has Dodongo-like tendencies
