Nintendo explains why Mario Kart World isn’t on Nintendo Music yet
Nintendo has commented on why we’ve yet to see Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Music app.
If there’s one thing fans have appreciated about the racer, it’s the quality and quantity of the soundtrack. The game features over 200 songs that have been rearranged from throughout the Super Mario series. Many Mario Kart games are represented, but also other classics like Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros., and much more. Of course, there are original tracks as well.
Nintendo’s Bill Trinen commented on Mario Kart World hasn’t appeared in Nintendo Music while speaking with The Washington Post. Here’s what he stated:
“I can’t go into too much detail, but I can say that it does actually take time and work to prepare soundtracks for Nintendo Music. And that soundtrack is particularly robust. It’s a matter of looking at the calendar and saying whether something might fit in or not. We’ve certainly heard that people are eager to see that on Nintendo Music.”
A few Nintendo Switch 2 games are represented on Nintendo Music, including Kirby Air Riders – which hasn’t actually launched yet. We have a running list of all featured titles here.
