Nintendo Music downloads surpass one million
New data from Sensor Tower reveals an initial downloads number for Nintendo Music. According to the analytics firm, the app has already been downloaded more than a million times.
Nintendo Music is estimated to have seen 265,000 downloads during its first day availability. In its first four days, that number climbed to 1.2 million. Although downloads peaked on November 1, Sensor Tower analyst Sam Aune says that they “are still holding strong above launch day downloads for 11/2/24 and 11/3/24.”
Note that downloads doesn’t specifically indicate how many people are using the app since anyone can download it, but a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required.
Sensor Tower further states that forty percent of the downloads were from the U.S. Japan followed in second with 15 percent. Game File passed along today’s tidbits.
Nintendo Music saw a surprise announcement and launch last Wednesday. Essentially, it’s Nintendo’s answer to the likes of Spotify. Nintendo Switch Online members can listen to songs from a number of games, and though the initial selection is limited, more titles are gradually being added. Features are also available such as looping, playlists that can be shared with others, and more.
