Nintendo says the 3DS will put an end to the age of piracy

“People are aware that video games, music and movies make massive contributions to the economies of countries. They need to make sure they start protecting those things. I think perhaps there’s been a ‘heyday of piracy’ and we’ve now seen a lot of rules come in to stop it.” – Marketing manager James Honeywell

I believe that the 3DS has a feature with it that allows automatic downloads of updates and patches to your device that cannot be stopped. This would allow a complete destruction of piracy… at least until hackers find a way to turn off the auto-download thing.
