Nintendo shows updated design for Diddy Kong

Donkey Kong is getting a brand new design for Donkey Kong Bananza on Nintendo Switch 2, and it now appears that Nintendo is updating the look for Diddy Kong as well. However, the adjustments are much more subtle.

A news post was sent out to Nintendo Switch owners this week which shows how Diddy Kong has changed. There are a few main differences. First, Diddy Kong now has teeth. There’s also the fact that the Nintendo logo has been removed from the character’s hat. Finally, his feet have been adjusted for whatever reason.

A comparison shot can be found above – the original is on the right and the new version is on the left.

It’s unclear if we’ll be seeing this new version of Diddy Kong in Donkey Kong Bananza, but it’s certainly possible. Speaking of that game, a notable detail about the game was recently leaked accidentally, and you can catch up on that news here.
