Nintendo issues October 2025 Switch 1 backwards compatibility fixes for Switch 2, full list
October has rolled in, and as part of that, a new wave of backwards compatibility fixes are available for Nintendo Switch 1 games on Switch 2.
You may remember that both systems received a new firmware update this week. We mentioned that there could be backwards compatibility fixes even though Nintendo only highlighted stability improvements, which turned out to be the case.
The full list of October 2025 Nintendo Switch 1 backwards compatibility fixes for Switch 2 is as follows:
- Deemo Reborn
- Library of Ruina
- Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025
- Ultra Age
- Warframe
This is the smallest amount of fixes we’ve seen so far. Some might be disappointed by that, but Warframe is a pretty big name here. Also, we’re likely to continue getting fixes in the future – we do know that one of Nintendo’s own titles, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, currently needs to be patched.
We do have some other news about backwards compatibility. Nintendo provided status reports on a few other titles it is now recognizing with issues.
That list is as follows:
- Jelly Troops – Unsupported – Problems with game progression have been found
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning – Users may experience graphics problems in some areas (previous update addressed game progression)
- Mugen Souls – Obtained items may not appear correctly in some situations
- Subway Simulator 2025: City Train – Animations might not play in some parts of the game
- Transistor – The game may stop functioning correctly if the console is inserted or removed from the dock during some parts of the game
You can find details about other Nintendo Switch 1 games that were previously fixed on Switch 2 here, here, and here.
