Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are a limited-time special offer available to Nintendo Switch Online members. Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers can be purchased in a set of two. Each individual voucher can be redeemed for a select Nintendo Switch digital software title.

Who is eligible to purchase and redeem Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers?

Users with an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership (individual or family) are eligible to purchase and redeem vouchers. If your Nintendo Switch Online membership ends before you redeem a voucher, you will still be able to use the voucher as long as you begin a new membership before the voucher expires.

In Quebec, Canada, this offer is only available to users 13 and older.

What does a set of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers cost?

You can see your available unused Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers in the Nintendo Switch Online section of your Nintendo Account Shop Menu, where each individual voucher will be listed with its expiration date. Are Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers eligible for My Nintendo Gold Points?

Yes. You will receive Gold Points when you purchase a set of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers, but you will not receive additional Gold Points when you redeem a voucher on a game.

Can I get a refund for a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher?

No. Once purchased, vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for any other item.

  5. Select your payment method and enter payment details as needed.
  6. Select Confirm Purchase to complete the purchase.

  1. Sign in using a Nintendo Account with an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership on Nintendo.com.
    • Game Vouchers can only be redeemed on the same Nintendo Account that purchases them.
  2. View the details for Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers on the Nintendo Switch Online Special Offers page.
  3. Select Buy Now under the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers details.
  4. Re-enter your password to proceed to purchase.
  5. Select your payment method and enter payment details to complete the purchase.

Is there a limit to the number of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers I can purchase?

Yes. You cannot have more than eight active vouchers at a time. If you have seven unused vouchers, you will be able to purchase another set after you use one of them. If you have eight unused vouchers, you will be able to purchase another set after you use two of them.

Can I gift Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers to a friend?

No. Vouchers can only be redeemed using the same Nintendo Account that purchased them.

Do I need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to redeem a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher?

Yes. You must be part of an active, paid individual or family membership to redeem a voucher. If your membership ends while you have an unused voucher, you can still use the voucher after you begin a new Nintendo Switch Online membership and before the voucher expires. The voucher expiration date will not be extended for the time you do not have an active membership.

How do I redeem a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher?

A voucher can be redeemed in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch in all regions or on Nintendo.com in the U.S. and Canada.

Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch

  1. Log in to the Nintendo eShop using the Nintendo Account that purchased the set of vouchers and has an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
    • Vouchers can only be redeemed on the same Nintendo Account that purchased them.
  2. Select your user icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Nintendo Switch Online in the left menu.
  4. Select Redeem above the list of available Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers.
    • The voucher that is closest to expiring will automatically be used.
  5. Select the game you wish to purchase.
  6. Select Proceed to Redemption to purchase the title.
    • Note: You can also choose to redeem a voucher after browsing for an eligible game in the Nintendo eShop and selecting Proceed to Purchase.

Nintendo.com (U.S./Canada only)

  1. Sign in to your Nintendo Account Shop Menu using the Nintendo Account that purchased the set of vouchers and has an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
    • Vouchers can only be redeemed on the same Nintendo Account that purchased them.
  2. Select Nintendo Switch Online to view a list of your available purchased vouchers.
  3. Click Redeem a voucher.
    • The Game Voucher that is closest to expiring will be used first.
  4. Select the game you wish to use the voucher on.
  5. Click Redeem voucher.
  6. Click Redeem voucher again to confirm the redemption.
    • Note: You can also choose to redeem a voucher after searching for an eligible gameyou wish to purchase and selecting Redeem voucher.

Yes. As new eligible games are released or made available for pre-purchase, they will be added to the list of games available to be redeemed with a voucher.

Do I need to redeem both Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers in a set at the same time?

No. Each voucher can be redeemed independently for a single game title.
