Nintendo Switch Online adds Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins icons

For a limited time, Nintendo Switch Online members can claim new icons based on Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.

This is the classic game of the month for December. Subscribers can redeem icons featuring characters from the game. Only five are up for grabs, and each one costs 10 Platinum Points each on My Nintendo.

As a classic game, Nintendo requires that you play the game in order for the icons to unlock. However, when we say “play”, all that really means is starting up the Game Boy app and going into Super Mario Land 2. As long as you start it – even for just a second – you’ll be able to claim them.

Note that the icons will be going away on January 6, 2025. Redeem them while you can.
