NYXI Wizard, GameCube-style controller without drift, released for Switch
A number of third-parties have created their own controllers for Switch over the years, and NYXI has now come out with its own product: the NYXI Wizard.
Other than the GameCube-style design, the NYXI Wizard is unique in that it aims to eliminate drift that has become prominent with Joy-Con in particular. This is done with the Hall Effect joystick. Since it never physically touches, “the sensors do not wear out like they do on analog joysticks”, preventing drift in the process.
There are some other notable aspects to the controller such as how users can swap out joystick rings for different games. NYXI mentions that the “round joystick circle allows you to play racing games without borders, while in fighting games, you can choose the octagonal joystick circle to quickly and accurately position the attack direction.” Also worth mentioning is that the ZR/ZL buttons “are quieter, lighter, have less resistance, and have shorter trigger distances to help you shoot faster.” Additionally, the “ABXY buttons have white light effects and a comfortable feel for an enhanced gaming experience.”
