Open world Patrick Star game leaked for Switch

A new open world Patrick Star game is in development for Switch as well as other platforms, a now-removed retailer listing reveals.

Igabiba listed the new release this week – simply titled The Patrick Star Game – with a product description and the boxart. A few details are shared, including that Outright Games will be publishing. It also appears to be planned for October 4, 2024.

Here’s the product description:

Patrick fans, your time has come – and Bikini Bottom is your open-world playground! You can skydive with just a parasol (or nothing at all), search for buried treasure in the Dump, or release the rage in Mrs. Puff’s Rage Room. Use almost any item you find – from the reef blower to a paint can – to make the world more Patrick. And take on challenges only Patrick would attempt, set by up SpongeBob, Sandy Cheeks, Mr. Krabs, and more.

So become the Star of the show, put your silliest ideas into action, and enjoy the physics-based chaos that unfolds all around you!

Given that The Patrick Star Game is apparently releasing in just a couple of months, we should be getting an official announcement from Outright soon, and that will presumably be accompanied by the first trailer. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more about the title.
