New Features & Updates
The Maji Market Returns
Good news, Palians! The beloved Maji Market makes its grand return to the Kilima Village Fairgrounds, bringing with it all the excitement, enchantment, and mouth-watering treats you all know and love!Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to the world of Palia, Maji Market offers a chance to connect with your friends and villagers within the bustling night market like never before. You’ll showcase your skills in various minigames, immerse yourself in vibrant Palian culture, fill your stamp card to the brim, sample all the merchant goodies on offer, and take in the whimsical atmosphere that only this magical event can provide.
Keep a lookout for your invitation in the mail! And while Maji Market remains only open between the Palian hours of 6 p.m. to 3 a.m; you’ll have a lot more time to complete all that Maji Market has to offer. The villagers had so much fun during the last Maji Market, they’ve decided to bring it back on a regular basis! You can expect to visit the night market for one week every month moving forward!During this patch, Maji Market will be running for a week, starting immediately. It will then return for a week starting on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and come back every four weeks. To preview what that looks like, these are the weeks Maji Market will be active.
- Starts Sept. 24 at 12am PT – Ends Sept. 30 at 11:59pm PT
- Starts Oct. 8 at 12am PT – Ends Oct. 14 at 11:59pm PT
- Starts Nov. 5 at 12am PT – Ends Nov. 11 at 11:59pm PT
- Starts Dec. 3 at 12am PT – Ends Dec. 9 at 11:59pm PT
- Continuing every 4 weeks
Brand New Maji Market Quests, Games, and More
The new and improved Maji Market mixes the classic fare that players know and love with brand new minigames, quests, and collectables. The familiar night market minigame Chapaa Chase is a Maji Market staple, and players can again expect to hustle and heave as many chapaas as they can.
Stamp Cards are also returning alongside all of the merchants, vendors, and kiosks to spend your hard-earned tickets and earn accomplishments. While progress from the last Maji Market will not carry over, your Stamp Card progress, collection, and accomplishments will carry over month-to-month! So if Maji Market wraps before you complete an achievement, you can pick up right where you left off in the next month’s night market. And while we don’t want to give too much away, event-goers can look forward to several new activities, quests, and collectables.New and returning Maji Market attendees will test their reflexes in Pop-A-Chapaa, where players can work together to earn tickets! Every night at 8 p.m. Palia time, balloons will release from the water around the dock, and you and your friends can team-up to blast the balloons out of the sky. Everyone that participates will earn tickets; and the more collective balloons popped, the more tickets earned! And like Hassian always says (probably), “you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” So don’t worry about letting loose [your arrows]. Everyone that participates has infinite arrows and bow durability during the game.Per usual, Zeki has set up shop and brings a whole new attraction to the night market: Zeki’s Claw Machine. Players that spend tickets within the market have a chance to earn a Claw Machine Token. The more tickets you spend on an item, the better chance you’ll have to earn a token. But items that cost 6,000 tickets or more are guaranteed to come with a token. Toss a token in Zeki’s Claw Machine for a chance to win one of six Li’l Plushes (not a typo, hehe).
Additionally, players can expect many more attractions to keep them coming back, including:
- Maji Market Exclusive Miniquests: Complete more than 8 new miniquests exclusive to the Maji Market that will have you coming back to the market for weeks on end.
- Maji Market Exclusive Nameplate: Save up some tickets and purchase the Maji Market exclusive Nameplate from the Chapaa Tchotchkes popup.
- Night Market Photo Ops: Influence your friends and party-up to snap some pics at all the best photo op locations… you might find a totally normal Human Standee… minding its own business… probably doing big business…
- Chapaa Popsicle Emote: No chapaas were licked in the making of this emote. Equip the new Chapaa Popsicle emote from your Collections menu today!
- Drums, Please!: March to the beat of your own drum and re-discover an explosive surprise.
- Market Discovery: Those that know where to look might stumble upon a few surprises – but make sure to keep that knowledge close to the chest!
Palia’s Autumn Awakening
Fall is in full swing in Palia and we have the foliage to prove it! Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the adventurer’s life and snap some photos with friends at the many leaf piles scattered around Kilima Village before the season changes again later in late November. And the most eagle-eyed players might notice the trees have begun to change color!
But most importantly, the Spooky Moon Shop is back! Everyone’s favorite haunt can be found behind Zeki’s store if you’re in the market for scary-good deals. Purchasable items include:
- Spooky Pumpkin
- Spooky Jaak-O-Lantern
- Spooky Sernuk-O-Lantern
- Spooky Candles
- Spooky Floating Candle
- Spooky Pumpkin Stack
- Spooky Vined Pumpkin
- Spooky Pumpkin Wallpaper
- Spooky Fall Leaves*
- Spooky Leaf Pile*
*These items were originally released as part of last year’s Winterlights Shop, but we felt they would be more at home in the Spooky Moon Shop.
