Pikmin 4 is the latest Nintendo game ROM to have seen an online leak, and it comes just a few days ahead of the official launch.
Unfortunately, Switch titles and leaks tend to go hand in hand. For instance, Fire Emblem Engage also started to circulate online a few days before release. The same thing happened with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and that was arguably worse since it happened more than a week before the game hit store shelves.
With Pikmin 4, the story isn’t quite as significant as a game like Zelda and Fire Emblem. Still, if you’re on a media blackout, keep in mind that spoilers could begin to pop up on social media and other sites soon. We won’t be sharing any access to the ROM, story details, or anything else.
Nintendo always takes leaks very seriously, and the company is likely going to attempt to find the source of today’s Pikmin 4 ROM leak situation. However, based on what we’ve seen, there’ll probably be more leaks like this to come for other upcoming Switch games.
Pikmin 4 will be available for all Switch owners starting July 21, 2023. Will you be picking it up this Friday?
