Pixboy won’t be the only new 2D plaformer on Switch this week. Pity Pit will also be available on the eShop starting June 11, publisher Eastasiasoft and developer Panda Indie Studio have announced.

We have the following overview and trailer for Pity Pit:

Dig your way down through procedurally generated caves and save your wife Gwendoline from the Devil Johnson!

In this unique spin on retro platforming, the action goes vertical instead of horizontal, down instead of up! Take the role of Oratio the Dwarf as he uses every tool at his disposal to navigate a variety of block types. Mine with pickaxes, dig with shovels or use devastating bombs to clear a path.

With 5 levels of challenge and obstacles that change with each playthrough, Pity Pit offers simple but addictive design and a wealth of replay value, all presented in an endearing pixel art style!

Pricing for Pity Pit is set at $4.99 / €4.99.
