Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted leaks, game appears to have various issues
Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted has leaked, and after some early hands-on time, fans have come across various issues.
The game won’t be out for a few more days, but the leak took place over on the EA app. One person has even been streaming the title. Unfortunately, the reception hasn’t been great so far.
Many of the initial issues could be by the manner in which EA and PopCap decided to build the base for Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted. Strangely, it seems to be a Unity re-implementation of the Windows Phone version, according to reports. Why the team decided to go down that path is perplexing for many.
Perhaps because of the decision to reuse the Windows Phone version as the base, we’re hearing that it’s littered we’re bugs. Hopefully that’s something EA will patch later on if not close to launch. We’ll also mention that AI up-scaling is used – though again, the reception there has been mixed.
Plants vs. Zombies fans have been excited about the Replanted release as we haven’t really seen the game in many years, so what’s been floated out there so fan has been disappointing. If you do want to pick it up, you can do so on October 23 for Nintendo Switch 2 or Switch – a new launch trailer is up here.
