Pokemon Pokopia prototype leaked, before it was a Nintendo Switch 2 game
Just when you may have thought that all of the major news had surfaced from the Pokemon “Teraleak”, another significant discovery has been shared – this time revealing the prototype for Pokemon Pokopia.
Recently, we heard that Pokemon Pokopia was originally planned for Nintendo Switch 1. It was reported that it was intended to be a spiritual successor to Pokemon: Let’s Go with Pokemon Home connectivity. Something also mentioned was that assets would have been reused from top-down perspective games in the series.
That brings us to today’s leak. A complete unreleased prototype has surfaced, and it goes further than that as the full Unity source code has emerged. This brings us the news that Game Freak was fully in charge of the original production – for the final, upcoming release, it was outsourced to Koei Tecmo.
