Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have become the best-selling Pokemon games of all time in Japan

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have reached a new sales milestone in Japan. It’s now being reported that they’re now the best-selling entry in the series to date.

According to a Famitsu report, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have sold over 8.3 million units in Japan alone. Previously, Pokemon Red and Green were the series’ best-selling games in the country.

Worldwide, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have sold over 25.69 million copies. They’re very close to becoming the best-selling games in the franchise on Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Sword and Shield stand at 26.44 million units, so Scarlet and Violet are likely to pass them very soon. You can see the most recent list of million sellers on Nintendo Switch here.
