Princess Peach’s new voice actor confirmed, first role was Mario Kart World
The new voice actor for Princess Peach has come forward, and we now know that Courtney Lin is playing the role
Lin’s first recordings for Peach were for Mario Kart World. Additionally, she played Baby Peach in the racer as well, which isn’t unexpected.
Speaking about playing Princess Peach, Lin shared the following on social media:
“These characters are so much bigger than ourselves. I am so honored and honestly can still hardly believe it. I have so much respect for all of the Peaches that came before me, especially the one I grew up with. I will do my best with every opportunity I am given, and I hope you all have been enjoying the game.”
This draws the controversy surrounding Princess Peach’s voice actor change to a close. The main issue fans had is how Nintendo handled the situation. Samantha Kelly, who previously voiced Peach, was informed by the company that she had been recast just one day before the launch of Mario Kart World.
Another notable recent change for the overall Mario franchise is for Donkey Kong. Kouji Takeda, who previously voiced the character in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, had the same part for Donkey Kong Bananza.
