Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan arrives in October, new trailer
Publisher Skybound Games and developer Manavoid Entertainment today announced a final release date for Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan, their 2.5D adventure platformer. It will launch for Switch on October 5.
Aside from being an adventure platformer, Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan also has RPG, creature-collecting, and puzzle elements. The whole game follows main character Billy who’s on a journey to bring color back to the world.
Going along with the overall peaceful nature of the game, there isn’t really any fighting in Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan. Instead, Billy and his companions “must build trust to successfully resolve the engagement”. Although you may be slowed down by creatures you come across, “sometimes it only takes a little empathy and a new point of view to reach an understanding.”
Outside of encounters, Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan has various locations to explore, puzzles to solve, and even a fishing mini game. The team is also looking to make things as accessible as possible with accessibility features like color blindness support, a Dyslexia friendly font, single joystick controls, and more.
Skybound and Manavoid Entertainment provided a new “World of Imagination” trailer to go along with today’s release date news for Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan. Watch it below.
Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan will cost $29.99 on the Switch eShop.
