Avenged Sevenfold formed in 1999 in Huntington Beach, Calif., while the original band members were still in high school. The band made its official debut in July 2001, releasing Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, followed by2003’s Waking the Fallen, and 2005’s breakthrough release, City of Evil, which reached No. 30 on Billboard’s Top 200 and garnered the band the Best New Artist Award at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. Avenged Sevenfold’s fourth and self-titled release debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 when it was released in October 2007. The band will release its fifth studio album, Nightmare, day-and-date with its first three-pack of songs for Rock Band, on July 27, bringing the total number of Avenged Sevenfold available for Rock Band to seven. Avenged Sevenfold Pack 01 will include “Seize the Day” from City of Evil, “Nightmare” from Nightmare and “Scream” from Avenged Sevenfold. The band is headlining the Uproar Festival August through October with Disturbed.Hailed by Rolling Stone as “[One of] the world’s biggest rock stars” and described by the Los Angeles Times as “the single most important figure of the past decade in Latin music,”Juanes has become the world’s leading all-Spanish language music artist in terms of both critical respect and global commercial success. Both an electrifying guitarist and gifted songwriter, the Colombian rock star is often mentioned alongside artists such as Bono and Bruce Springsteen for his belief in the possibility of social change through music. With multi-platinum worldwide sales of over 12 million albums, a Grammy® and record-setting 17 Latin Grammy® awards after just his first four records, it is evident that millions of fans have adopted the songs of this poetic rocker as representative anthems of Latino pride, prayers for peace, and the strength of eternal love. With record-setting chart runs for multiple No. 1 albums and singles, it is no wonder that Billboard recently declared Juanes as Latin Music’s “Star of The Decade”.
With Juanes set to return with a highly-anticipated new album this fall, lead by new single “Yerbatero,”which was recently unveiled at the World Cup in South Africa, six representative tracks spanning the full career of this leading Latin Music ambassador will debut next week in the Rock Band Music Store. Juanes’ relationship with Rock Band fans will continue later this year with the inclusion of smash single “Me Enamora”in the October 2010 release of Rock Band 3. Before the launch of Rock Band 3, fans will get a treat with a six-pack of hits from Juanes, which will feature “A Dios le Pido” and “Mala Gente” from Un Día Normal, “FíjateBien” from the album of the same name, “Gotas de Agua Dulce” from La Vida…Es un Ratico, “La Camisa Negra” from Mi Sangre, and “Yerbatero” from the yet-to-be-released album of the same name.
