Rundown of upcoming events

So… This is going to be a pretty big week for gaming, and Nintendo fans in particular. In case you are unaware of any of the events that will be taking place over the next few days, this rundown might come in handy:

Square Enix 1st Production Dept. Premier

What is it?

Square Enix’s conference to announce new games, and reveal information and trailers for previously announced projects. The event won’t just be for Nintendo systems, but Kingdom Hearts 3D is expected to be there. There could be additional surprises for the 3DS as well. All non-Nintendo news will be posted on Gaming Everything.

Coverage

I haven’t decided quite yet! The event is taking place at an awful time – 4 AM EST tomorrow morning (Tuesday). So, do I stay up until then? It won’t end until 5 AM EST at the earliest, and then there’s a stream at 6 AM. I’ll try to figure something out, though…

3DS event

What is it?

Nintendo will be sharing information on everything you wanted to know about the 3DS. Release date and price for both North America and Europe, online details, information on previously announced games, and much more. Thus far, Capcom, EA, Tecmo Koei, and Konami have been confirmed to be some of the third-parties appearing at the event. Roundtables in Europe will also be taking place at the following times:

16:30-17:00: Developer Roundtable Konami
Presentation and Q&A for Journalists with Pro Evolution Soccer
Developers: Mr Enomoto and Mr Hatsumi

18:30-19:00: Developer Roundtable Capcom
Presentation and Q&A for Journalists with Street Fighter und Resident Evil
Developers: Mr Ono und Mr Kawata

19:00-19:30: Developer Roundtable Koei Tecmo
Presentation and Q&A for Journalists with Dead or Alive
Developer: Mr Hatashi

Coverage

You can expect full coverage when the event kicks off at 9 AM EST on Wednesday. The conference in Europe will be taking place at the same time. Don’t be surprised if this turns out to be a mini-E3, with a bunch of material posted on the site on Wednesday!

The Last Story with Sakaguchi

What is it?

Haven’t gotten enough of The Last Story yet? Nintendo is making another push for the game before it hits Japan later this month. Watch Hironobu Sakaguchi play the title at the following times:

January 20, 14:00: Gathering
January 21, 14:00: Battle System
January 24, 14:00: Ruli City
